Chowder Media Pte. Ltd. (“Chowder Media”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal data we collect through chowdermedia.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

What we collect

Details you give us. When you fill in our enquiry form we collect your first and last name, work email address, phone number, whether you sell a B2B product or service, your monthly marketing budget range and anything you write in the message box.

Our form saves your answers as you go, so you can return and finish later. If you enter your contact details but do not send the form, we still keep what you entered and may contact you once about your enquiry.

Details collected automatically. When you visit our site we collect your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page you first landed on, the site that referred you, and campaign and advertising click identifiers (for example UTM tags and the Google or Meta click ID attached to an advert you clicked). We also read cookie identifiers set by Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel.

Details from booking a call. If you book a call through our scheduler, we receive the details you enter there.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and assess whether we are a good fit to work together.
  • To provide, manage and bill for our services if you become a client.
  • To measure which of our adverts and pages lead to enquiries, and to improve them.
  • To keep our website and form secure and free from spam and abuse.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We will not send you marketing messages unless you have asked for them or agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.

Consent

By submitting your details through our form you consent to us collecting, using and disclosing them for the purposes above. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us (see “Contact us”). If you withdraw, we may not be able to continue handling your enquiry.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as far as they need it:

  • HubSpot (customer relationship management and call scheduling)
  • Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager, for measurement)
  • Meta (Meta Pixel and Conversions API, for measurement)
  • LinkedIn (LinkedIn Insight Tag, for measurement)
  • Cloudflare (website security and spam protection)
  • Telegram (internal alerts to our team when a new enquiry arrives)
  • Exabytes (website hosting)

Contact details sent to Meta for advertising measurement are hashed before they leave our server. We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it.

Transfers outside Singapore

Some of these providers store or process data outside Singapore, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure it receives a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA.

Cookies

Our site uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use it and to measure our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site and the enquiry form will still work if you do.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them for the purposes above, and for up to 24 months after our last contact with you if we do not work together. Client records are kept for as long as the law requires. After that we delete the data or make it anonymous.

How we protect it

We use reasonable security arrangements to protect personal data, including encrypted connections, access controls and limiting access to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach is likely to cause significant harm, we will notify you and the Personal Data Protection Commission as the law requires.

Your rights

You may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used in the past year;
  • correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • stop using your personal data, by withdrawing your consent.

We will respond as soon as we reasonably can, and within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.
