How Chowder Uses AI in Content Marketing and Where We Draw the Line

Ahh… the promised land of AI, where we never have to write an article or publish a video with our own two hands ever again. Reality, however, is currently far from the truth. If you care about delivering demand with content, then as of right now AI alone will not deliver business results.

My conclusion boils down to these three facts. Firstly, Google in 2026 advises publishers to produce unique, people-first content with actual expert perspectives. It also warns against scaled pages created mainly to manipulate rankings or generative responses.

Secondly, AI search has greatly eroded the need for top-of-the-funnel informational content. Instead, companies will be better served putting their energies and focus into creating mid and bottom-of-the-funnel content. And doing so effectively is essentially an exercise in trust. AI scaled content as of right now comes across as cold and impersonal, dragging down the trust-building exercise between buyer and seller.

Lastly, when creating large volumes of content becomes effortless and instantaneous, then everyone can do it. In such a case, quality content will always stand out. Attracting the right eyeballs becomes paramount as it can mean the difference between a deal won or lost.

Personally, I have a commercial stake in this discussion. As Chowder helps B2B companies turn their expertise into written and video content that drives demand, prospective clients now want to know how AI fits into our work.

Our position is straightforward: AI should accelerate tasks in order of leverage, starting from the weakest. It must not own decisions that affect strategy, reputation or buyer trust.

In content marketing, this means speeding up research, correction, and analysis. Leave alone areas of strategy and writing where expert insight and human creativity allows for the greatest leverage.

Automation Creates Robots And Not A Voice

Does this mean that all our content must come from complete original thought?

No.

At Chowder, we’ve developed our own AI content agent, Chowda, that does not write for you. Instead, its goal is to remove all the frictions to writing great content, so content teams can spend time focused on what’s most important. In this AI era, that would be to write content that is unique, insight-led, and with a point of view that competitors can’t replicate.

In Chowda, we harness AI’s ability to store memory and reason to create an advanced starting point in our content. This dramatically reduced time taken to publish content, allowing us to deliver in just 2.5 days. In essence, Chowda is the content intelligence layer for B2B businesses serious about building robust content engines.

The agent starts by learning the work of your content team, consuming content you’ve previously published in both written and video. This forms the foundational layer that informs all other content decisions.

Take for example this article. I simply told Chowda that I wished to write about “how Chowder [Media] integrates AI into Content Marketing, and where we don’t, in order to drive the best results possible in Singapore“.

From there, it began its research loop based on our stored memory, current published articles, tier 1 published public research, and more.

It then created a skeleton of ideas, research, statistics, and proof in Google Docs after my approval is sent via Telegram.

From there, I am able to put together this article with my own writing voice combined with the research and reasoning provided by my AI Agent.

All in all, instead of letting AI write a bland, cold article that offers little to no new insight. This opinionated, expert-driven article only took four hours from ideation to publication. On the other end of the spectrum, we used to complete scripts and articles in 2 weeks for our clients due to the interview, research, alignment and approval process.

Ultimately, tools help you build the house, but they don’t decide what kind of home it is.

Where Chowder does not delegate the work to AI

Chowder’s own work maintains that the following should remain human-led:

1. Audience and demand diagnosis. An AI model does not get to decide which problem matters most. This is a question best answered by sales context, buyer evidence and client’s priorities.

2. Singapore and APAC context. When serving a local audience, it is important to us that all content must offer a targeted and fresh point of view.

3. Editorial voice and final approval. Ultimately, our clients and content teams get to decide if a particular piece of content has their voice.

How Chowder’s Approach Benefits Singapore B2B teams

Historically, the challenge with Singapore’s “local” yet global market is creating content that appeals to local or regional audiences while using global insights from head offices. Add on the multiple layers of accountability, and limited access to senior subject-matter experts, and content quality takes a hit.

This is where our framework shines. By clearly demarcating the lines where AI should and should not help, we create a starting point with suggested talking points presented to the experts. From there, they are free to embellish it further with their insight, or simply give an OK.

So instead of starting from a blank sheet and getting caught in wave after wave of revisions, we avoid this with AI assisted but expert reviewed research. Then, we add our own human-led flair to the content to top it all off.

Ultimately at Chowder, our goal is to help B2B businesses build a content marketing engine that turns B2B content into qualified pipeline. In 2026, AI is indispensable to our approach, as we continue to create technologies like Chowda Agent and Demand Gap Scan.
