Elevating sales enablement
Ahead of an industry tradeshow, Musim Mas needed help with creating standout content that would stop buyers in their tracks and provide their sales teams with videos would close sales faster.
Strategic Guidance
We first broke down the typical sales processes of the team at a tradeshow. That brought us to the realization that for the SLS market, it is mostly a competition of price and scale. Reliable supply chain and brand name came second. This needed to change.
The coconut based product provided a unique proposition that we decided to double down on. By creating a eye-catching video that highlighted the core features of the product, it positioned the sales team to receive more inbound customers at the tradeshow.
Creative Production
In a matter of 3 weeks, the video was conceptualized, storyboarded, and produced in studio by Chowder’s video team. Utilising extreme close ups with macro cameras alongside eye-catching pink, we gave Masphate CD100N a visual treatment normally reserved for FMCG products.
The flatlays in the video further pushed for the product’s usage capabilities, another aspect we wanted to highlight. While SLS is an ingredient in almost every soap or cleaning agent in the world, it is often looked over. Hence our decision to show each possible ingredient in both the product’s make-up but also in its usage.
Results
Multiple audience engagement tracking measures such as heat mapping were tabled to analyze the “showstopping-ness” of the video at the event. Ultimately, the client decided that word of mouth from the sales team would be their preferred measurement.
The sales team highlighted improvements in two key areas. Firstly, they felt more confident in their own belief of the product. Secondly, the video played a crucial component in their sales enablement package. This lead to tighter sales cycles and increased customer confidence. The sales team has decided to extend the usage of the video to future prospects in tradeshows.
